The Mackay Mountain Bike Classic Mackay (MAD Mtb Classic) is hosted by Mackay and District Mountain Bike Club (MAD Mtb), the local club in Mackay based out at Rowallan Park just north of Mackay city.

The MAD Mtb Classic 2021 is a competitive cross-country style mountain bike event held at Rowallan Park from 28th to 30th of May this year.  It is ranked as an AusCycle National Tier 1 event and also has a UCI international ranking of Category 2.

This year’s event is being held on the back of the successful event that was held in 2019 (unfortunately they were unable to host in 2020 due to COVID-19 lockdowns).  They will have the highest level of competitors from both Australia and New Zealand present at this event, as well as some of the best junior racers from around Australia.  They also don’t forget our not so champion competitors by holding non-competition classes for those just looking for a social spin.  The event is over three days with the Friday being a practice day.
